INCORPORATION WAS GRANTED 18TH DECEMBER 2007 and our aim is to support you and your interests

To ensure your continuing quality of lifestyle.

Since our formation and incorporation, we have been actively promoting SARPRA at State Government level as well as within Residential Parks in South Australia.

We currently meet monthly at the Catalyst Foundation, Currie Street, Adelaide or on Skype.

We have recently been involved with the formation of a National Body (NARPAC) to support residents living in Residential Parks and Villages across Australia.

Our only funding has been obtained through membership fees at this time, however we are seeking sponsorship and grants where we can.

The current Membership fee is set at just $10.00 per household and payable annually to the Treasurer or your park SARPRA Committee Representative and is due by 31st August each year.

We now accept  credit card and bank transfer (EFT), it is recommended that you print the form on our web site (Become a Member).

Our Annual General Meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday in November each year and being a financial member, you are entitled to attend, have your say and vote for your committee.

Membership is available to any permanent resident of a Residential Park/Village in South Australia and who accepts the objectives and rules of the Association.

Membership shall cease if the Resident leaves Residential Park/Village.

The Aims and Objectives of SARPRA are:
  • To advance the interests of the residents of Residential Parks or similar as covered in the   Residential Parks Act 2007;
  • To assist and advise any person proposing to move into a Residential Park;
  • To act as advocate on behalf of residents and to pursue issues affecting their welfare – both as an autonomous body and should the need arise in conjunction with other organisations; and,
  • To encourage residents in Residential Villages/Parks to become involved in concerns affecting their general welfare.

In Pursuit of these Objectives the Association Shall
:
  • Maintain an Association which is nonsectarian and non-party political;
  • Remain financially and constitutionally independent from bodies involved in the development and management of Residential Parks; and,
  • Affiliate with any other body having similar aims, membership or objectives on such terms and conditions as maybe mutually agreed.

Committee members from residents with Residential Park lifestyle experience are elected from nominations received before the AGM held in November each year, Nominations are sent out to all members at least 3 weeks prior to the AGM.
